Seattle Style

Fall Transition

It’s hard to know what the perception of something is when you’re right in the middle of it. I know everyone thinks of Seattle as the new tech city and all of that, but when it comes to fashion, I don’t know if we’ve graduated past being “one of the worst dressed cities in America” (read a few years ago), in the eyes of everyone else.

I know that we have a wonderful and growing blogging community. Fashion blogging, might I add, so we must be doing something right. And the amount of independently run stores and Seattle-based clothing designers, seems to keep growing, and getting better at the same time.

Gibran Hamdan is professional football player turned clothing designer who has recently expanded to a women’s line. I got to visit his store in Phinney Ridge and check out everything he’s been up to as of late (and meet him, and he couldn’t be a nicer human being).

I saw this skirt the first time I was there, and knew just what outfit I would create with it. I’m usually not a skirt type of gal, but this one has “Seattle fall” written all over it.
