You know those stores that you not only love the product, but you just want to hang out in the space all day? That is Warby Parker. Each store has a little bit of a different theme, the new University Village location being, naturally, library/literary themed. All I wanted to do was grab a book off wall (that are also for sale), and sit in a corner and read.
If you’re not familiar with their glasses, get familiar. I don’t need prescription lenses, but awhile back I almost ordered some with a clear lens just because I wanted a pair. And of course their sunglasses are just as sleek and eye-catching. And they’re affordable! Starting at $95, they don’t go up too much from there, and for every pair purchased, a pair is distributed to someone in need.
Last year they opened a shop in Fremont and their University Village location officially opens this Saturday, August 20th. Stop by their grand opening party this weekend and get some sweet treats and see the pair of sunglasses they designed just for Seattle!
Fun Fact: Warby Pepper and Zagg Parker are characters in one of Jack Kerouac’s journals; thus the birth of the name Warby Parker (that apparently took 5 years to land on).
